Your eBike will come with a key lock that functions as both the on/off switch and battery removal locking/removal. If you look closely, you will see there are 3 positions ON, OFF and UNLOCK. Some bike models may vary.
When the key is turned to the OFF position, the power is off and the key can be removed. When the key is turned to the ON position, the power is on and the key is locked in place.
To remove the battery, turn the key to the OFF position, push it in, and rotate it counterclockwise to the UNLOCK position. You can now take out the battery for storage, maintenance, charging, or replacement.
Once the battery is On, you can now power up the bike from the headset on the handle bars, press the power button to turn the bike on and depress and hold to turn off.
Charging
To charge the battery, make sure that the eBike is switched off and the key is in the OFF position. Look for the socket behind the sliding cover and plug the charger into it. Next, connect the charger to the mains. You will notice a red LED light on the charger, which will turn green once the battery is fully charged. When you're done, unplug the charger from both the battery and the mains. It takes approximately 4-5 hours to fully charge the battery from a completely flat state.
Operating controls
To turn on the bike, press the ON switch located on the handlebar controller. Once turned on, a series of LED lights will illuminate. The top set of lights indicate the battery level, which will go out gradually as power is used. The bottom set of lights indicate the power assist level, with the default setting being low power. To increase the power level, simply press the + button, and to decrease it, press the – button. Note that depending on the bike model, the controller may have 3-5 power settings, so it may be necessary to press the + and – buttons several times to reach the desired level.
Gears
If the bike is equipped with gears, the gear controller will be located on the right-hand side of the handlebars. To shift to a higher gear, push the thumb shifter forward. To shift to a lower gear, press the black button located below the thumb shifter. Models may vary but the gears are the same as using a regular cycle
Using your eBike peddle assist
All our eBikes have a PAS system (pedal assist system) this means that as soon as the bike detects more than 2 revolutions of the crank power will automatically be supplied to the motor. Alternatively, the bike can be powered by twisting the hand throttle on the right-hand side of the handlebars or pressing the throttle (models do vary).
Other controls
Your bike comes equipped with front and rear lights. To turn the lights on, you first need to turn on the bike's battery. Next, use the on/off button on the handlebars to power up the bike. Now, press the + button once to turn the lights on. Please note that some models may require you to press and hold the + button.
Brakes
The brake levers have sensors that automatically cut off the power to the motor when the brakes are applied. Additionally, there are adjusters on the brake cable as it leaves the lever mount, and these should be adjusted according to the brake pad wear.
Maintenance
The battery and motor are sealed units and do not require any maintenance. It is important to maintain the tyres at 40-45 PSI and replace them if they get damaged or worn out. Other moving parts such as the chain, wheel bearings, and suspension parts (if fitted) should be lubricated regularly. It is recommended to use 3-in-1 or a light bike oil for lubrication.
Riding your eBike
Please take note of the following information: eBikes can be ridden in the same way as regular bicycles. Your eBike's range in power up mode can go from approximately 25 to 40 miles, depending on factors such as the rider's weight, terrain, and others. If you follow the instructions provided in this manual, your eBike should provide you with many years of reliable service.
